Karen has recently joined the Trust; working part time on CaBA (catchment based approach).
Karen completed a PhD at Liverpool University before starting her career in Local Authority waste regulation. She later joined the Environment Agency, first working in environment management and later managing the external work in Yorkshire area. She put together the organisation’s first plain English guide and championed changes to customer engagement on issues such as flooding.
As well as working for the Trust, Karen volunteers for NSPCC School Services and as a reader in her god-daughters’ school.
