Evening Course – Timings to be confirmed.

An evening course delivered by Principal Ecologist and bat expert Robert Bell on how to identify, record and survey the bat species found in the Don Catchment. The evening will finish with a dusk bat walk around Sprotborough, where we will use bat detectors to identify different species by their characteristic sounds.

    Sign up to our one day open-water awareness course led by David Adams from River-Mountain-Experience.
    Training held at Voluntary Action Rotherham with a short walk to Centenary Riverside park. 

    Learn about the dangers of working near rivers, how to keep a volunteer team safe and what to do in an emergency. We'll be learning how to help someone that enters the water, practising how to use throw-lines and demonstrating the use of life-jackets. There will also be some training in what personal protective equipment should be worn when working in the water and how to use and maintain it.

    Join photographer Paul Hobson for an afternoon at Sprotborough Flash, finding and documenting the stunning orchids on the site!
